Developing a brand doesn’t always mean changing the logo. Sometimes it means redesigning a space.
Nature-inspired graphics and universal colors instill a sense of calm and security for patients as they find their own exam room using customized cards received upon arrival.
PROBLEM
Develop a branded wayfinding graphics system that would help patients successfully use the facility’s self-rooming system, keeping in mind that many patients may be Spanish-speaking first.
APPROACH
I worked closely with Boulder Architects to identify opportunities for development of a scaleable sign system that would allow for universal symbols, multiple languages, and welcoming graphics for Clinica Sierra Vista—a network of health centers that work with under-served communities.
We explored opportunities for extending the CSV brand into engaging graphics to aid with wayfinding and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere. These signs and graphics were refined across two locations, Lamont and Bakersfield, and standardized for future use.
